Our Foundation

A Journal Born of Restlessness & Reverence

111111 was founded as an antidote to fast, homogenized tourism. We celebrate remote outposts, architectural balance, and intimate narratives.

The Slow Travel Manifesto

Every journey we chart begins with one inquiry: how does this experience honor the land and its stewards? In a world saturated with ephemeral travel trends, we value permanence. We seek stone buildings warmed by open fires, local guides who know every watershed, and tables graced only by seasonal produce.

We operate both as an independent quarterly publication and as a private travel atelier, producing rigorously researched dispatches and crafting tailored private itineraries for mindful explorers.

Our Core Tenets

01

Authentic Locality

We never partner with hotel conglomerates. Every retreat, riad, or refuge is independently owned and deeply anchored in local heritage.

02

Environmental Stewardship

Low density, conservation easements, and regenerative agricultural practices are compulsory requisites for our featured itineraries.

03

Tactile Exploration

From mountain passes to pottery studios, our guides prioritize hands-on craftsmanship and unmediated dialogue with the world.
